The high-profile race meeting, which is formally known as Yorkshire Ebor Festival, started with the Juddmonte International on Wednesday and runs over four days, culminating today.
Over the weekend, floral frocks and sky-scraper heels were the order of the day as female spectators pulled out all of the fashion stops for Ladies Day.
York races was cancelled last year due to the UK being in lockdown – but racegoers made the most of dressing up again, with fashion-forward revellers turning the racecourse into a sea of colour with their vibrant ensembles and summer prints.
Short, figure-hugging dresses were among the popular choices today, while one reveller opted for a bright pink number with a daring V-neck.

The races – one of the highlights of the British racing calendar – attracts enthusiasts from all over the country.
There is no formal dress code at the Ebor Festival – with the exception of an obligatory jacket, shirt and tie for men in the County Stand.
However, guests are reminded to dress ‘within the bounds of decency’ and take inspiration from ‘wedding attire’.
Women are also encouraged to sport ‘dresses, high heeled shoes together with hats or fascinators’ on the event’s official website – although organisers note that ‘it’s most important that you feel comfortable and enjoy your day’.
The festival is widely regarded as the most prestigious meeting at York in the calendar.
Each day racegoers will have the opportunity to watch and participate in the Ebor Fashion Lawn, a catwalk culminating in the announcement of the ‘best dressed racegoer’ picked by a panel of judges.
