BRIT Awards 2021: Pregnant Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock attend with bandmate Jade Thirlwall

Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards, 26, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, looked radiant as they debuted their blossoming baby bumps while hitting the BRIT Award 2021 red carpet with their bandmate Jade Thirlwall, 28, on Tuesday. 

The trio, who are marking their first awards night since Jesy Nelson left the band, all coordinated in glamorous white ball gowns, with the two mums-to-be cradling their stomachs as they posed for snaps. 

And the evening provided even more cause for celebration, as Little Mix scooped the best British Group gong after seeing off competition from Bicep, Biffy Clyo, The 1975 and Yong T & Bugsey – and gave a shoutout to Jesy as they accepted the award.

Perrie looked sensational as she highlighted her bump in a figure-hugging white skirt which boasted a floaty train. 

She also flashed a little midriff as her stylish outfit by David Koma boasted a sheer panel before joining onto a long-sleeved and low cut crop top.

While pregnant Leigh-Anne, who was the first to announce she’s expecting her first child, opted for a semi-sheer number.

The beauty’s dress showcased her toned arms and featured a quirky pattern throughout the light material.

Ensuring to coordinate with her bandmates, Jade also rocked a white ballgown with a chic neckline.

She wore her long locks down and added a statement makeup look of bold brown eyeshadow and a deep nude lipstick to accentuate her pretty features. 

The band appeared to be in great spirits as they posed up a storm on the red carpet and beamed huge grins while showing off their bumps.

Jade, who said she’s set to be the ‘luckiest auntie’ after her pals announced their pregnancies, also could not stop smiling as she wrapped her arms around her bandmates. 

The good times continued inside the 02 Arena as the beauties were awarded the gong for best British Group. 

And while excitedly accepting their latest accolade the trio ensured to give a shout out to their former bandmate Jesy, who left the group in December. 

Taking to the stage, Leigh-Anne said: ‘We have been together for 10 years it’s been the best years of our life, we’ve had so much fun we’ve made so many memories, we want to thank your incredible fans, Jesy.

‘It’s not easy being a female in the UK pop industry, we’ve seen the misogyny, dominance and lack of diversity, we’re proud of how we’re stuck together and we’re using our voices more than ever.’ 

Jade added: ‘This award isn’t just for us, it’s for Spice Girls, Sugababes, All Saints, Girls Aloud, all the incredible girls bands we love you.’ 

It had been reported in the lead-up to the event that despite Jesy being part of the group in the period that the nomination covers, the trio have made tweaks so their performance can go ahead without her.

The claims came amid allegations of the singer wanting to ‘sever ties’ with the trio and reports of them not speaking directly with each other in months. 

Perrie and her beau Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 27, announced they are expecting their first child together by sharing a series of stunning black and white images on Instagram on Monday just one night before her bump’s debut at the BRITS.

The wonderful news comes just six days after Perrie’s bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock revealed she is also expecting her first child with fiancé Andre Gray.

In one of the new snaps, Perrie displayed her growing baby bump in a black lace bra while tenderly touching her footballer beau’s face, as they both beamed for the camera in an image posted to the star’s social media page.

She excitedly claimed she is ready to be embarking on the ‘wild journey’ of pregnancy and parenthood with her sportsman boyfriend.  

Alongside photos the former X Factor star wrote on Instagram: ‘So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate.

‘Me + Him = You [world and heart emojis] We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox! (sic)’ 

Alex also shared the news with his Instagram followers by posting the same images and wrote: ‘Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? So grateful and excited to become a dad. Bring on the sleepless nights!’

The star opted for pared back make-up and wore her blonde locks in a pretty up do, while leaving strands of hair to frame her features.

Meanwhile, Alex sported a simple while T-shirt as he posed behind his girlfriend and lovingly wrapped his hands around her waist.

Many of Perrie’s friends and fans rushed to the comment’s section of her post to offer their congratulations to the singer.  

Among them was her bandmate and mother-to-be Leigh-Anne, 29, who wrote that she was ‘so excited’ to be sharing her pregnancy journey with her close friend.

She penned: ‘Arrrgghhh so so happy for you both! And so bloody happ we get to go on this journey together! Love you so much.’ 

Leigh-Anne announced her own pregnancy on May 4, just a week before Perrie shared her news with the world.

In her announcement snaps, Leigh-Anne showed off her bump in a trio of images posted on Instagram, writing alongside them: ‘We’ve dreamed about this moment for so long and we can’t believe the dream is finally coming true… we can’t wait to meet you.’

Also appearing to offer her congratulations was former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, who showed her support to the pregnant star by ‘liking’ the announcement.

The move comes after it was reported over the weekend that Jesy ‘wants to sever ties’ with the band after quitting before Christmas.

Sources recently claimed the documentary filmmaker is no longer in communication with her former bandmates, sharing: ‘The plan was always to stay in touch but that just hasn’t happened because Jesy didn’t want it.

‘She wants to sever ties and start again — that seems to be both professionally and personally.’ 

Meanwhile, bandmate Jade Thirlwall, 28, wrote: ‘Beaming for you both. I’m the luckiest auntie in the world! Love yoooou x.’

Perrie’s partner Alex shared his excitement by posting a string of hearts underneath the sweet photographs.

While Jesy’s ex Chris Hughes posted prayer and baby emojis. 

Shorty after the announcement the band’s manager – Samantha Cox who is also pregnant – shared a picture of herself Perrie and Leigh-Anne all cradling their bumps.

Alongside the image, she wrote: ‘Future best friends pending… We’ve been through so much and now we get to do this together!!

‘Love you both @perrieedwards @leighannepinnock and Aunty @jadethirlwall.’  

The Little Mix tour which was due to kick off this month has been postponed a year and it is currently unclear whether the tour will still run with both Perrie and Leigh-Anne now set to become mothers. 

When they postponed the tour, the group – who released their Confetti album in November – said in a series of tweets: ‘You know how much we love being on the road and performing every night for you all. 

‘However, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we must prioritise the safety of our fans and crew and help to stop the spread.

‘Therefore we’re so sad to say that the Confetti tour will be postponed to April 2022.

‘All tickets will be valid for the corresponding rescheduled dates and we’re taking this chance to add an additional show for our fans in Cardiff. (sic)’ 

Alex and Perrie moved in together back in 2019 and gave fans a glimpse inside their Cheshire pad earlier last year amid ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It was reported in January that they are moving to a road in Wilmslow, Cheshire, where former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson lives.

The pair were said to have splashed out for a luxury £3.8million property on the private street back in August, according to The Sun. 

Sir Alex, 79, is set to have the midfielder, who plays for Man Utd’s rival club Liverpool, as a new neighbour alongside the Little Mix singer.

A source told The Sun: ‘Sir Alex is a big fan of football as everyone knows, but no one is sure what he makes of Little Mix’s music.’ 

The couple have been romantically linked since late 2016 and last year gushed about how much they enjoyed spending the first nationwide lockdown at home together.

They made their relationship Instagram official in January 2017 and spent lockdown together, before Alex’s Premier and Champions League duties resumed.

In November, Perrie admitted she would say yes if her boyfriend proposed.

During an appearance on Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp, Perrie gave her strongest indication yet that she’s ready to walk down the aisle. 

The singer shared her enthusiasm as she also discussed bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s engagement to footballer Andre Gray.

When co-host Sonny Jay asked if she would say yes to a proposal from Alex, Perrie respond: ‘I have to think about it I think [pause] no, obviously!

‘Me and Leigh-Anne were just chatting and Andre wanted to wait for their anniversary, was it four years Leigh?’

She added: ‘But do you know what, I appreciate him, we don’t want to rush into it do you know what I mean? But it would be a definitely yes from me I reckon!’

Perrie was previously engaged to Zayn Malik.

The pair started dating in 2012, with the former One Direction star popping the question a year later in 2013.

However, Perrie and Zayn went their separate ways in 2015.

Before meeting her current footballer beau, Perrie was also linked to Skins actor Luke Pasqualino and model Leon King.
