  • Mr Davis, from East London, is the brother of Grammy award-winner 21 Savage
  • Source says the rapper, who left the UK at the age of seven, will be ‘devastated’

The British brother of rapper 21 Savage was stabbed to death ‘during an argument with a friend,’ on a south London estate, it has been revealed.

Terrell Davis was killed on the Blenheim Gardens estate in Brixton last night.

Mr Davis, a 27-year-old drill rapper known as TM1way, had been taking some shopping to his grandmother when he got into an argument with an old friend, who suddenly lunged forward and stabbed him, a family source said.

Mr Davis and 21 Savage, who was born in Plaistow, East London before emigrating to the US as a child, have the same father, Kevin Emmons.

The source said: ‘I don’t know if Savage has been told yet as he’s in America but they are brothers.

‘They used to speak on the phone quite a bit and on WhatsApp. I don’t think Savage has been back to Britain for a while because he’s had some legal problems in the US.’

Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage, whose name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph but who also goes by the surname Emmons, was arrested by U.S immigration officers last year due to his visa expiring in 2006.

He was brought to America by his mother when he was a seven-year-old child.

The 28-year-old Grammy-nominated artist was released from custody after paying a 100,000 dollar bond.

The source added: ‘He’ll be devastated, however, the whole family are.

‘Terrell was a good guy, he used to live on the estate but had moved away.

‘But he was round visiting his grandmother yesterday and had gone to the shops for her as she’s elderly and we are in the middle of a pandemic.

‘He was coming back to the house when he saw an old friend. This was someone he’d known for a long time.

‘They started arguing over something and then suddenly he stabbed him. It was completely out of the blue.

‘Terrell didn’t have any enemies that I knew of and he wasn’t involved with any gangs. He just focused on his music.

‘He was really good rapper and was on the verge of doing big things. He wanted to be like his brother. Everyone is in shock.’

Mr Davis was found suffering from a stab wound just before 6pm last night.

Police attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A local resident told MailOnline: ‘I was playing on my PlayStation when there was a commotion outside.

‘I looked out and there was a young man staggering around who then collapsed into a small hedge.

‘It’s awful. Generally this estate is quiet but there’s a lot of crime that goes on in the areas around it. ‘

Relatives of Mr Davis gathered today at his grandmother’s home. One family member said: ‘We just want to be able to grieve in peace.’

The Metropolitan Police said there had not yet been any arrests.

A spokesman said: ‘Police are investigating a fatal stabbing after they were called at 17:59hrs on Sunday 22 November by the London Ambulance Service to a location in Ramillies Close, Lambeth, SW2.

‘Officers attended, along with colleagues from the London Air Ambulance, but the 27-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
