Celebrities have reacted in jubilation after Democratic nominee Joe Biden was declared the next President of the United States.
Stars including Ariana Grande and Lizzo took to social media following the announcement Saturday morning, revealing that they were crying tears of joy over the news.
‘THANK GOD,’ Ariana wrote on Twitter, tagging the President-elect and soon-to-be Vice President Kamala Harris.
‘Let’s get to work, America. It’s time to hold the people in charge accountable. It’s time for them to listen. And it’s time for actual change in our policies and practices,’ Lizzo wrote on Instagram, beneath a video that showed her with a tear rolling down her cheek.

Kardashian made no mention of her husband Kanye West, who made the ballot in 12 states and received just 60,000 votes out of an estimated total of 160 million.

Democrat Joe Biden said on Saturday he was honored that Americans have chosen him to be their president and said it was now time to heal divisions left by the election campaign and unite as a country.
‘I am honored and humbled by the trust the American people have placed in me and in Vice President-elect Harris. In the face of unprecedented obstacles, a record number of Americans voted,’ Biden said on Twitter.
‘With the campaign over, it’s time to put the anger and the harsh rhetoric behind us and come together as a nation. It´s time for America to unite. And to heal.’
Mr Biden crossed 270 electoral college votes on Saturday with a win in Pennsylvania.
Mr Trump refused to concede, threatening further legal action on ballot counting.
