Harry and Meghan’s popularity has sunk to an all-time low, according to a new poll – just days before the couple are due to fly in from California for the Queen‘s Jubilee.
The research, carried out by YouGov on 1,692 adults earlier this month, asked whether they held a positive or negative opinion of the Duke and Duchess.
The results, published today, showed Harry’s favourability score had dropped to -26, which means just 32 per cent of people polled see him in a positive light, compared to 58 per cent who think of him negatively.
In a similar poll carried out between March 16 and 17, Harry had scored -25.
Likewise, Meghan Markle’s net favourability has also dropped, from -39 to -42 in the latest survey, with only 23 per cent of the public hold a positive outlook on the Duchess of Sussex while approaching two in three (63 per cent) have a negative view.
It comes as Harry and Meghan will fly to London from California to to take part in the four-day celebrations.
And in a surprise twist, it is believed the Queen may meet the Sussexes’ daughter Lilibet for the first time at the soon-to-be one-year-old’s birthday party.
However, Harry and Meghan, along with Prince Andrew, will not appear on the Royal Balcony when the Queen is set to delight royal fans by making an appearance during Trooping the Colour.
She will instead be flanked by her other three children, including her eldest son, Prince Charles, and his wife Camilla, as well as grandson Prince William and wife Kate, along with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Conversely, the Queen remains the most popular royal, with more than eight in ten Britons holding a positive opinion of the monarch, versus just 12 per cent who see her negatively, equaling a net score of +69
The Sussexes remain positively seen among the young, but by a narrower margin, the YouGov poll showed.
Some 42 per cent of those aged 18 to 24 see Harry positively, and 33 per cent see him negatively – a net score of +9.
This age group are more closely split over Meghan with a net score of +2, as 38 per cent view her positively and 36 per cent negatively.
But the couple are both seen poorly by other generations, including those aged 25 to 49 (-4 and -20 respectively), 50 to 64 (-42 and -61), but most of all by people 65 and over (-65 and -79).
Conversely, the Queen remains the most popular royal, with more than eight in ten Britons holding a positive opinion of the monarch, versus just 12 per cent who see her negatively, equaling a net score of +69.
Elsewhere in the family, Prince William has a net score of +59, Kate is at +55, Charles’ rating is +19, Camilla has a score of +9 while Andrew is by far the least popular, with a net figure of -80.
Meanwhile, the research also shows both Prince Charles and Prince William will have a tough job garnering the same level of approval as the Queen: with 84 per cent of Britons thinking that the Queen has done a good job in her 70 years on the throne, including six in 10 who say she has done a ‘very good job’.
YouGov tracking data shows that the public are split 34 per cent to 37 per cent on whether Prince Charles should succeed as king after Queen Elizabeth, or whether the crown should pass down in favour of the more popular Prince William.
The British public tend to think both princes will make good kings should they ascend to the throne, but there is significantly more confidence in William than Charles.
Some 77 per cent of people think the Duke of Cambridge will do a good job as king, compared to just 57 per cent for his father.
It comes as sources claimed today that Harry and Meghan plan to ‘keep it simple’ during their visit to England for the Platinum Jubilee weekend and avoid carrying out any of their own engagements.
The Duke and Duchess will fly without any senior staff, only come with a small security team and leave their most trusted staff back home in California, according to people with knowledge of their travel plans.
The couple will stay at their Windsor home of Frogmore Cottage along with their two children Archie and Lilibet – who celebrates her first birthday on Saturday – but will be without any senior staff, the sources told ITV News.
Harry and Meghan are expected to attend the Service of Thanksgiving with the Queen at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday morning – as well as the BBC’s Party at the Palace the following evening, the report claimed.
But the sources added that the Sussexes will not conduct their own programme of events while in Britain to avoid overshadowing the four-day weekend of celebrations for the 70-year reign of Harry’s 96-year-old grandmother.
