Sarah admitted that she would love to pack her child’s lunchbox with ‘healthy’ food each morning but her fussy kid prefers a more minimalist selection.
‘Yes, I would love to offer my child a smorgasbord of healthy goodies, but I have a fussy eater who prefers simple boring lunches, I pick my battles,’ Sarah wrote.
Parents with fussy eaters felt encouraged to also share what they pack their children for lunch each day in solidarity.
‘My son will only have a Vegemite sandwich. There is nothing wrong with simple,’ a mum wrote.
‘I try to keep [school lunches] simple too, I do two fruit, one vegetable and a sandwich,’ a mum suggested.
‘I have one child that will try anything and another with a texture aversion and likes ‘predictable’ lunches,’ another mum wrote.
