Oh no! Alec Baldwin has revealed his driver’s car was stolen upon his arrival in England, as he gears up to film his first project since the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins
An insider told The Sun: ‘Filming is top secret, but there is a lot of buzz that Alec is set to get back to work after Rust.’
‘Of course, safety on set is paramount and the crew is being kept to an absolute minimum so he can focus on his work.’
Walking down a sparsely-populated high street in an unknown UK location, the Knots Landing star began: ‘I’m gonna go ahead and record this because I think it’s funny…
‘I get to the airport. I fly on a sleeper flight, and I get to the airport and I get through the immigration. I get my bags I’m heading to the car that’s gonna drive me to where I’m going.
High spirits: The actor, 63, who jetted into Heathrow Airport on Friday, struggled to contain his laughter as he told how the vehicle had been snatched in a rambling video shared to Instagram on Saturday
Shock: Walking down a sparsely-populated high street in an unknown UK location, the Knots Landing star began: ‘I’m gonna go ahead and record this because I think it’s funny…’
In his self-confessed ‘bad’ British accent, he continued: ‘And the driver says, “Yeah, we’re gonna go to the car park.”
‘I do my bad accent and there’s a give away as to where I am. “We’re gonna go to the car park. You wait right here and I’ll be back straight away.”
‘And there he goes. I don’t see him for twenty minutes, he’s gone. And I’m like, “Wow.” On my itinerary, there’s a number for the car service.
‘I call and the guy and he says, “I’m not your driver, I’m the owner of the company and your driver, I’ve been on the phone with him the past few minutes and he tells me your car has been stolen from the car park.”
‘Oh s**t. What else? “Your driver, its gone.” Then the guy comes walking up. “It’s gone.” I’m walking around clicking my keychain, the door opener to find out where it is. I wrote down where it was. “Anyway, I hope you found your car.”
Frustrating: In his self-confessed ‘bad’ British accent, he continued: ‘And the driver says, “Yeah, we’re gonna go to the car park”‘
Surprise: ‘I do my bad accent and there’s a give away as to where I am. “We’re gonna go to the car park. You wait right here and I’ll be back straight away”‘
The Academy Award nominee soon took to the social media platform to share a follow-up clip, which saw him confirm he was in Alton by filming its high street in more depth.
He began: ‘I’m in this little town. Whenever I come to places like this whenever I travel away from the US, I look at little places like this.
‘I think, “What would it be like to live here? What would it be like to be a kid and this is your home?” I grew up in a pretty big suburban town on Long Island.
‘And I never thought I would go to Hollywood or that b******t. When I got older, I thought I would go to college and study this or that.
‘I started to figure it out once I left home, once I saw what other people were like, different from me. When you’re around people who have options, their ambitions are contagious.

‘You really start to think about what you’d like to do, what you’d never thought of before, you didn’t think it was real.
‘I see I’m walking down this little street in this little town and I see little kids and some teenage boys. This is their home. Trying to have fun, stay out of trouble, get into trouble. I just am always touched because it’s the same everywhere.
‘It just seems different because it’s foreign to me. People, kids. What they want. I always wanted to go into politics because I wanted to help people get rid of as many of their problems as possible. I know that’s a co-dependent fantasy.
‘I wanted them to live and be happy. It’s nice to get out of the US and see how things are different and the same. It never ceases to amaze me.
‘I’m gonna do a diary while I’m here. You can see wherever I go around the world, my hair is unruly as you can imagine.
Amazed: He began: ‘I’m in this little town. Whenever I come to places like this whenever I travel away from the US, I look at little places like this’
Deep thinker: In the accompanying caption, he wrote: ‘Every town you visit is someone’s home…’
‘Anyway, I’ve been taking my mask on and off. People try and live their lives and be happy. It’s the same everywhere.’

Alec arrived at London’s Heathrow airport and looked downcast as he waited with other travellers at Terminal 5.
Alec’s mood was earlier explained as he took to his Instagram to share a video to reveal he ‘hates’ leaving his family to travel and is ‘very sad’ to be leaving his loved ones.
Standing to pick up his luggage, the Motherless Brooklyn star sported a black padded jacket while wearing a navy facemask.
He was seen clutching a luggage trolley as he waited for the conveyor belt to deliver his bags, with Alec stating on Instagram that he was briefly going away for a job.
Jetting off: Alec arrived at London’s Heathrow airport and looked downcast as he waited with other travellers at Terminal 5
In his video, the star admitted he’s ‘very sad when I leave my family’ before going on to speak of his children.
Sharing his passion for his family, he said: ‘I don’t have anything else in my life that matters to me, I don’t have anything that even remotely matters to me.’
The 30 Rock star shares six children with his wife Hilaria – Carmen, eight, Rafael, six, Leonardo, five, Romeo, three, Eduardo, one, and Lucia, 10 months.
The star then reflected on having his first child, 26-year-old Ireland with ex-wife Kim Basinger, 68, recalling how he and Kim both worked a lot when Ireland was a baby.
He said: ‘When I didn’t have children, all I did was work. Then I had a child and my ex-wife was a real go-getter and she wanted to work, we both worked a lot.
Not happy: Alec’s mood was earlier explained as he took to his Instagram to share a video to reveal he ‘hates’ leaving his family to travel and is ‘very sad’ to be leaving his loved ones
‘It was a certain kind of reality, we were both younger and work was important.’
He went on to say: ‘In the last seven years, especially the last five years, I work minimally and that’s been a problem, I probably need to work more regardless.’
The film star added that he ‘turns down jobs’ as ‘I hate to be away from my kids’.
The reflective video, filmed at an airport lounge, sees Alec conclude: ‘cherish the time you have with them’, with the star also adding: ‘make everyday count.’
He captioned his post writing: ‘Settling into my least favorite place…an airport. Getting ready to do my least favorite thing…travel alone.
Family man: In his video, the star admitted he’s ‘very sad when I leave my family’ before going on to speak of his children
‘I have only one purpose in this life. And I count the minutes until I get back to it.’
He then went on to say ‘I love you’ to all of his children and his wife Hilaria, 38.
Alec is currently under investigation after shooting and killing the crew member on the set of his now abandoned film Rust in October.
It comes after Alec’s lawyer Aaron Dyer confirmed last month that his cell phone had been handed over to authorities in Suffolk County, New York, close to where he lives.
It is being sought by Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza and his investigators probing the death of Halyna Hutchins, 42, on the set of Baldwin’s western Rust in Bonanza City, New Mexico, on October 21 last year.
Suffolk County cops have been coordinating with their colleagues in Santa Fe, with the device now set to be passed to them imminently.
Looking back: The star then reflected on having his first child, 26-year-old Ireland with ex-wife Kim Basinger, 68, recalling how he and Kim both worked a lot when Ireland was a baby (Alec and baby Ireland pictured)
Dyer told Deadline: ‘Alec voluntarily provided his phone to the authorities this morning so they can finish their investigation.
‘But this matter isn’t about his phone, and there are no answers on his phone. Alec did nothing wrong.’
He continued: ‘It is clear that he was told it was a cold gun, and was following instructions when this tragic accident occurred.
‘The real question that needs to be answered is how live rounds got on the set in the first place.’

Baldwin has not been charged with any crime, and denies wrongdoing. Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department first issued a warrant for the phone on December 16.
District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said investigators probing the tragedy wanted to ‘obtain any materials’ from Baldwin’s phone that could uncover what led to the shooting.
Hutchins was a married mother of one. Director Joel Souza, 48, was also shot during the accident, but recovered from his injuries.
During a tear-stained interview with ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos in December, Baldwin said the shooting happened when he was working with Hutchins on how to position a gun for a scene they were about to shoot.
He said he pulled back the hammer and released it, prompting the gun to fire. Production of the western was canned after the shooting, with allegations of cost-cutting and poor safety practices made against its crew.
Speaking on ABC News, Baldwin said: ‘The best way, the only way, we can honor the death of Halyna Hutchins is to find out the truth.
‘That’s what I’m working toward, insisting on, demanding that the organizations involved in this investigation do everything in their power, everything in their power, to find out what really happened. That’s all that matters.’
Tragedy: Rust cinematographer Halyna, pictured, was accidentally shot and killed by Baldwin on the set of the movie. Director Joel Souza was also struck, but survived
