Actor Richard E. Grant bemoaned his £228-per-night UK hotel quarantine in a social media clip on Tuesday.
The Withnail And I star, 64, shared an Instagram video of himself at his wits’ end and told his fans, ‘I feel like a pig s**t in my head’.
Grant, who had been visiting his 90-year-old mother in southern Africa when the Government enforced new travel restrictions to fight the Omicron variant, previously complained about the ‘grim food’ at the Gatwick Holiday Inn.

In the video, Grant wore a white robe and looked pained as he threw his head back, scrunched his eyes and sang dramatically, ‘I feel like a pig s**t in my head’.
He captioned the post, Withnail in Quarantine quote for the day’.

Grant posted pictures of a packaged tuna and cucumber sandwich, a sausage casserole and fish and chips, which he said would cost less than £30 to buy elsewhere.
Speaking in a video posted online, Grant, who used to present the hotel review television series Richard E. Grant’s Hotel Secrets, said: ‘I went to southern Africa to visit my 90-year-old mother and got caught by the red region Covid restrictions.
‘I understand there are security costs in the hotel and you’ve got to pay for two Covid tests, but £228 a day to receive three meals of this very poor standard, in a supposed four-star Holiday Inn hotel, beggars belief.’

Grant said he was ‘confounded’ that a ‘non-quarantine Holiday Inn nearby costs £89 incl breakfast’ and asked: ‘How does Gov [ernment] justify this cost to a traveller for ‘hospitality’… feels punishing!’
A Government spokesman said: ‘The majority of passengers who have used the Managed Quarantine Service have been satisfied with the service.’
Cases of the Omicron variant in the UK are soon expected to be higher than in some African countries placed on the travel red list, a scientist warned on Tuesday.

Professor Tim Spector said early data suggests cases of the coronavirus mutation are doubling every two days, putting it on course to overtake some of the 11 countries from where travellers to the UK are now required to quarantine to try to stymie community transmission.
Early data suggests Omicron is more transmissible – although milder – than the Delta variant, which is currently dominant in the UK.
The Prime Minister is expected to give an update on whether any further restrictions are necessary within the next two weeks.
