An urban explorer found a seemingly abandoned Yorkshire farm filled with antiques worth ‘thousands of pounds’ – including ornate furniture, china crockery and children’s toys.

Daniel Sims, 32, from Huddersfield, found the farm  with ‘everything left behind’, from toothbrushes and beauty products, beds ready to sleep in and children’s toys scattered throughout the home.

A hoard of vintage boardgames and magazines was among the collection of items in the house

Mrs Sims also found ornate wooden furniture, china crockery and figurines inside the property

Daniel Sims, 32, from Huddersfield, found the farm in Yorkshire with ‘everything left behind’, from toothbrushes and beauty products, beds ready to sleep in and children’s toys scattered throughout the home

In his latest video he explored the property, which appears to have been left to decay and contains ‘thousands of pounds’ worth of antiques.

Having heard about the farm via a fellow explorer, Mr Sims and his friend Steve entered via a small open window.

‘I started seeing lots of items left around so a wave of excitement took hold as I went inside,’ Mr Sims said.

‘I could tell it was going to be interesting to look at this place.

‘The atmosphere was calm at first, however at times it became quite eerie – we would hear random noises throughout the house that put us a little on edge.’

In the video, Mr Sims described the exterior as ‘absolutely huge’, before finding a way into the main building.

Inside, they entered the kitchen and found it largely in disarray – but with the kettle and assorted crockery and appliances left as though ready to be used.

The explorers found an old Philips stereo system and a large writing desk which Mr Sims believed to be early 20th century

Besides scattered antiques, the explorers also found an old book bound in leather

A number of old light-fittings and ornaments were found piled on top of each other in a basket

In the living room they came across a newspaper from 2017 and several large paintings. Mr Sims also spots an ‘antique cabinet’ – a large wooden piece with gold handles.

On top of one dresser is a white china urn – though they find no ashes inside, and see it has instead been used for storage.

The explorer guessed the property had been abandoned for only a couple of years, although they found old-fashioned televisions and dated furnishings throughout the home.

As Mr Sims explored further in the property, he remarked: ‘There are some really royal decorations here.’

Upstairs, they found bedrooms with the beds made up with duvet sheets and pillows, bags full of old vinyl records and even a doll tucked up in a blanket and cradle.

In the hallway were large framed paintings left abandoned, and an ‘old lady nightie’ near a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath.

An old doll was also discovered among the trove of old possessions in the house

An old bathroom had sadly fallen into a delapidated state, with discarded products strewn about

While many rooms were brimming with old and treasured items, other areas were empty and had sadly fallen into neglect

The large farmhouse was adjacent to a barn with equally cavernous spaces for the duo to explore, with a large desk and fireplace stored there

‘The atmosphere was calm at first, however at times it became quite eerie,’ said Mr Sims after he explored the house

They found toothbrushes still in the pot near the sink, and the explorers proceeded to test out the water and electricity – both of which were turned off.

They also unearthed more children’s toys, including a boxed doll and several board games.

In another room were assorted figurines, including a wrapped-up horse, as well as an old-fashioned television.

Mr Sims guesses the former owners were animal lovers given the large number of animal-themed items.

In the attic, a handmade dolls house was described as ‘super creepy’ while venturing down into the basement, they came across dozens of antiques.

An old doll still encased in its packaging was found in one of the upstairs’ bedrooms

Mr Sims spotted items including stacks of china crockery and ornaments – some of which he guessed could be collector’s items.

The two were stunned to find the assortment left untouched, as well as a fridge full of jars of jams and chutneys.

A shelf nearby was also filled with bottles of wine – which appears to be homemade, with handwritten labels on the bottles.

Mr Sims said: ‘There’s got to be thousands of pounds worth of stuff here.’

They also discovered a vintage Melotte hand-cranked cream separator, which was used in the dairy industry in the 19th century.

‘I started seeing lots of items left around so a wave of excitement took hold as I went inside,’ said explorer Mr Sims

The pair also spotted an ‘antique cabinet’ – a large, ornately carved wooden piece with gold handles

A large corner bath-tub was also found in a neglected state surrounded by dirt and debris

A sitting room was found to be in a state of disarray, with settees moves haphazardly around the room

Mr Sims said: ‘The main area that caught my surprise was in the basement where the majority of the collectables where squirreled away and other random antiques.

‘To the right people and collectors some of these individual items could be worth hundreds.’

In an outbuilding, they found a ‘really old’ work desk and fireplace amongst the debris.

The duo spent an hour exploring the property before leaving.

Mr Sims said: ‘We were left wondering why such a place had become like this – we were blown away by everything we saw.’
