Brits are making the most of the sunshine after unseasonably high temperatures have driven them to soak up the last of the warm weather before winter arrives. 

People have been spotted sunning themselves on beaches in England, where temperatures have reached highs of 18C.  

It comes after parts of England woke to heavy fog this morning, as drivers have been warned of potential chaos on the roads. 

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog in eastern, southeastern and southwestern parts of England, including Norwich, London and Canterbury.

It comes just days after heavy rain brought flooding in parts of the country.   

The majority of the fog was expected to clear by mid morning, with the warning in place from 04:00 to 10:00, with visibility expected to dip as low as 50 metres in some places.

Despite the foggy start, people in southern and eastern England can expect fine and dry conditions for the rest of the weekend, with some patches of mist and fog in the mornings due to chilly nights

It comes after the UK eased travel restrictions earlier this week, lifting the hotel quarantine requirement for arrivals to England from 47 countries, including South Africa, Mexico and Thailand.

London will enjoy an unseasonable high of 18C/66F on Sunday. 

Further north, the weather will be cloudy with patchy rain, clearing for a fine day on Sunday, with temperatures in some places hitting 16C/62F.
