Adele has canceled concerts in Las Vegas over problems with her sports agent boyfriend, who manages the likes of LeBron James, according to a report.
The New York Daily News’s Richard Johnson reported that the singer, 33, called off her Caesars Palace ‘Weekends With Adele’ residency less than a day before last Friday’s scheduled debut show because of issues with her boyfriend, Rich Paul.
A source said: ‘There’s trouble in paradise. That’s why she can’t perform.’

Sources close to Adele’s camp claim that she has been crying through rehearsals and interrupting them to take phone calls with Paul.
Her residency was initially supposed to open last week, with performances scheduled to run through April.
Photos showed the singer as she boarded a plane in Vegas en route for Los Angeles to be with Paul right after the cancellations were announced, however the exact nature of her relationship issues were not immediately revealed.
Paul, 40, who manages the likes of NBA star LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, among other athletes, has been with the singer since early 2021.

He has known the Lakers star since 2002, and he has served as James’ agent since 2012 when he started Klutch Sports Group.
Meanwhile, Page Six reported Casino.com journalist Scott Roeben as saying the ‘stresses related to Adele’s relationship’ have ’caused her to be in a place where she was just not confident moving forward.’
‘You can’t focus if you’re not where you need to be in your head.’
A visibly emotional Adele tearfully told fans, many of whom were already in Sin City at the time, several different reasons behind her pushing back the residency.

‘My show ain’t ready,’ she said last week.
‘We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time, and for it to be good enough for you. But we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.’
Prior to news of her relationship issues, it was also reported that the delays were down to the singer being displeased with the set design, particularly over a swimming pool erected in the middle of the stage.

It comes as country musician star Keith Urban, who is the husband of Nicole Kidman, announced he will now be playing weekends at Caesars Palace in late March and early April – when Adele had been scheduled to perform.
Fans have already pointed out that given the venue’s program of events, it is possible that the earliest she will be able to perform is 2023, prompting further speculation that it may never happen.
As they are left in turmoil over whether they will ever get to see Adele perform in Vegas, a technician from the show has shared a glimpse of what could’ve been, posting pictures of the star’s stage setup.
In a picture taken on January 5, the stage can be seen in the midst of being transformed with a large floating staircase erected in the center nestled between a row of plants.

Long distance: Fans from the United Kingdom travelled a total of 6,924 miles each for concerts that were ultimately cancelled by the British star
Meanwhile, Adele has reportedly pulled out of her scheduled BRIT award performance next month.
It has been the singer told the event’s organisers she would perform at the star-studded ceremony at London’s 02 Arena on February 8 but has since cancelled.
A source told The Sun her decision has been a ‘major blow’ for the ceremony’s organisers.
They added: ‘They are talking to her team to see if she can appear by video link. It’s a massive headache but they want her involved in any way she will agree.’
It has also been reported someone will have to accept her awards, should she be the recipient.

‘Names already mentioned include Sam Smith, and even Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa – who are both up against Adele for awards – but they are all looking unlikely.
‘They have also made an approach to Stormzy, in the hope that they can persuade him,’ the source said.
It has been said that concerns were raised over prospect backlash if she performed at the music awards after calling off her Las Vegas residency.
MailOnline has contacted the BRIT Awards and Adele’s representatives for comment.
Adele has received four nods at this year’s BRIT Awards: Artist Of The Year, British Pop/R&B Act, British Album Of The Year and British Single Of The Year.
