An Amazon worker has died of a ‘medical episode’ at the firm’s biggest depot in Europe.
The member of staff passed away outside the sprawling warehouse before his shift in Tilbury, Essex, yesterday.
He is believed to have arrived early and was sitting in his car due to personal reasons before he fell ill.
His colleagues were reportedly being offered counselling to help those affected by the tragedy.

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: ‘We received a call at 8.10am yesterday with reports of a person who was unwell in Winchelsea Road, Tilbury.
‘We sent one ambulance, however the person sadly died at the scene.’
A police spokesman said: ‘We were called just before 8.30am on Sunday 7 November by ambulance colleagues to Dock Road, Tilbury, following a man taking ill.
‘Sadly, the man died. His death is not being treated as suspicious.’
The two million square foot site at Tilbury is the biggest in Europe and has around 4,000 workers.
It has been plagued by claims of poor treatment of staff who are allegedly overworked and left so exhausted they fall asleep in the toilets.
Michael Gabay, 42, claimed he fought through ‘100 days of hell’ at the depot and said workers ‘walk around like zombies’ during ten-hour shifts.
He told the Mirror in 2019: ‘Why are people treated like this? [Amazon boss] Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world and this is how his company is run.’

Meanwhile a woman claimed she was told off for not hitting packing targets of 120 items per hour despite being six months pregnant.
She also alleged another pregnant woman who was sick was not allowed to get an ambulance, adding: ‘They called her a taxi after taking her to the first aider.’
Amazon hit back at the claims and said they were not ‘an accurate portrayal of activities in our building.
A spokesman added: ‘Tilbury fulfilment centre is a safe and positive workplace. Safety is our No1 priority and we take the wellbeing of our associates extremely seriously.
‘We will always call an ambulance if one is required. Our team of on-site first-aiders follow NHS guidance when an ambulance should be called.’
