A deputy headteacher lost her job after she posted revenge porn pictures of her boyfriend’s ex-lover on Facebook during a bitter feud over their new romance.

Antonia Traynor, 30, put an image of the woman’s breasts on the social media page with a message saying: ‘Now she is emailing Gaz her t*** FFS!’

The unnamed mother who once dated Traynor’s boyfriend Gary Openshaw, but was still in contact with him, was said to have been ‘humiliated and upset’ by the post.

She explained she moved her family over fears for their safety and said she had been caused ‘maximum humiliation’ after parents at her children’s school saw the pictures.

Traynor was later arrested after being spotted making a throat slitting gesture towards the victim and telling her: ‘You are dead, you are f****** dead.’

She lost her job at an unnamed school and is now claiming Universal Credit.

Traynor of Swinton, Greater Manchester was found guilty of disclosing private sexual photographs with intent to cause distress and using threatening behaviour at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.

She was told to ‘sort herself out’ by presiding magistrates, and banned from contacting the victim for 12 months under the terms of a restraining order.

The bitter feud began after Mr Openshaw began dating Traynor in 2019, having previously broken up with the victim.

Mr Openshaw and his ex-girlfriend had been arguing over Facebook when he received a message from Traynor asking him to call her.

Later that evening an anonymous Facebook account known as ‘Deano’ from Manchester shared pictures of the victim’s breasts online with the caption: ‘Now she is emailing Gaz her t*** ffs’ with smiling and laughing emojis.

Later comments from ‘Deano’, which turned out to be Traynor, said ‘freak mate’ and ‘stalker’.

The ‘humiliated and disturbed’ victim called the police after the incident, telling officers she was distressed and was extremely upset.

In an impact statement the victim, who has two children, said: ‘I am conscious of the threats, it’s had a massive impact on us and we have had to move house.

‘It is one thing to affect my life but to upset my children too is on another level.

‘She has never apologised to me for her actions. This has humiliating for me and upset my family.

‘Parents at my children’s school will have seen these pictures and it has caused me a lot of distress. I feel embarrassed.

‘Someone who has a good job should know what damage this can do. It has caused me maximum humiliation. I do not think she cares about the effect this has had on me.’

The court then heard Traynor threatened the victim the following March after learning the revenge porn incident was going to trial.

The complainant said she was picking her children up from school when she was ‘blocked in’ by a furious Traynor who was making ‘frantic’ hand movements.

She said: ‘My immediate thought was I made a driving error so I mouthed “sorry” at her, but then I realised it was Antonia.

‘She drove across the front of my car and I could see here clearly looking right at me and she was screaming.

‘I noticed the driver was alone waving her hand in a frantic way towards me. ‘I couldn’t hear exactly what she said but from what I could tell she was saying “you are dead, you are f****** dead”.

‘She was crossing her finger across her throat in a gesture. I can clearly say she was trying to intimidate me, I am now living in fear – I’m now living in fear of her.’

Traynor denied wronging and the court heard she was accosted one of the prosecution witnesses outside court ahead of her sentencing hearing.

In mitigation, defence lawyer Darin Millar said: ‘My client had been a deputy head at a school and was holding down a difficult and responsible job – but she had just come out of an abusive relationship when she began dating Mr Openshaw and she had no idea of the trouble that was coming down the tracks.

‘We do not deny the posting of the photo but to put it in context, the complainant had sent abusive and threatening messages to my client to disrupt the new relationship.

‘We believe this case has not been dealt with evenly and my client was at breaking point.

‘She had a bottle of wine, took antidepressants and posted a picture of the complainant’s breasts which had been sent to Mr Openshaw some months before and says this is the kind of person making comments about my boyfriend.

‘It was a stupid drunken mistake although it is revenge porn.

‘My client does not wish to minimise her actions and accepts she has caused upset and humiliation. She accepts she got it completely wrong.

‘My client is not in employment as a result of this conviction and she is going to find it difficult to ever get a job in education again. She is in receipt of universal credit.

‘Even after conviction, the abuse and threats have not stopped. The complainant has sent scores of social media posts, messages and emails.’

Traynor was also given a 12 month community order and told to complete 150 hours unpaid work. She must also pay £320 in costs and surcharges.

JP Ronald Marshall told her: ‘This cases crosses the custody threshold but because of your previous good character, this falls under the community penalty bracket.

‘Draw a line under this and try and sort yourself out.’
