A size 10 woman has vowed to boycott Primark after not being able to fit into their size 14 jeans.

Chloe-Mae Anderson-Maguire, 21, from Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire,  claims she usually wears a size 8- 10 in jeans but went to her local Primark and was unable to get the size 14 pair over her bottom.

She said she ‘refuses’ to buy or even try-on a size 16 pair, because she doesn’t want to support the budget clothes stores ‘s***’ sizing.

Chloe-Mae picked up a few different sizes and filmed herself trying on the largest size.

She posted her video to TikTok with the caption: ‘WTF Primark. I’m a size 10’.

‘I’m bloated but still!! I refuse to buy a 16.’

The clip been viewed more than 400,00 times, with many other women commenting on their size frustration.

‘I bought a pair of trousers that are a 16 and they’re the same as a New Look size 12,’ said one.

‘I’m a size 6/8 everywhere but I wear a size 12 in Primark,’ added another.

”I have three pair of Primark jeans in a size 6, 8 and 10 and they’re all exactly the same size’

‘This has made me feel a lot better,’ a third wrote. ‘The exact same thing happened to me the other day…”

Many commented that there was nothing wrong with wearing a size 16. When questioned why she didn’t just buy a bigger size she added:  ‘I don’t want to support their s***** sizing.

‘I refuse to support a brand that causes so many people to feel this way.’

One replied: ‘I’m usually a size 10 but in Primark, I have to buy a 14.’

Replying to cruel comments that said she wasn’t a size 10, she replied with another video showing her in size 10 pair from M&S that fit perfectly.

Last week, a mother-of-two was left in shock after her slim 10-year-old son only just managed to fit into her size 14 Primark Jeans.

Rachel Loyns, 29, from Cardiff, had made up her mind to give the blue trousers away to charity after she was barely able to fit one of her legs into them.

However, before donating them she gave them to her son Kayden, 10, to try on and was amazed when the jeans appeared to be a snug fit on the young boy.

She revealed that Kayden is about 4ft 10 and normally wears clothes for a 11 to 12- year-old, but the women’s size 14 jeans fit snugly on his legs.

The make-up artist saw the funny side of the situation and posted a picture of her son wearing the jeans to a Facebook group, PRIMARK HAUL, where customers share their best buys from the bargain clothing store.

She joked that she felt better about the jeans not fitting on her after she saw how tight they were on her young son.

Rachel wrote: ‘My son is 10 and 4”11 (ish) teenagers size 11-12 clothes and he fits women’s size 14 Primark jeans.

‘And no wonder they don’t fit me. I’m 5”11 and size 12-14 bottoms.

A Primark spokesperson said at the time: ‘The fit of our clothing is really important to us and we welcome any customer feedback.

‘All of our clothing is made to industry standards using Size UK Data and we offer a wide range of sizes with our jeans available from size UK 4 to UK 22.’
