Prince Harry can be seen arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday, as he heads to London to attend the unveiling of a new statue of his mother next week. 

Harry is seen approaching the the airport in a black Cadillac SUV, and his arrival coincided with a car chase that took place on its south field, and shut down two runways. 

Airport officials reported that a driver had crashed through the fence near LAX’s FedEx cargo facility, and that both southbound runways were shut down as a result. Once has since reopened, and the airport’s northbound runways were unaffected.  

Harry is due to appear alongside his brother, Prince William, next Thursday at the unveiling ceremony of a statue of his mother Diana, the princess of Wales, in the gardens at Kensington Palace.

The princes will walk together to unveil the statue, which they commissioned to mark what would have been their mother’s 60th birthday before giving their individual speeches. 

It will be the first time the pair reunite since Prince Philip’s funeral in April. 

The once-close brothers, who studied together at Britain’s elite Eton school, and both served in the military, have become distant since Harry’s marriage to Meghan and the couple’s move to California.
