A tiny ‘tomb’ that is little bigger than a double bed has been criticised by house hunters after it went up for rent for £200-a-month.

The private rental in the back garden of a house in Oldham, Greater Manchester, has been berated by social media users after appearing on the Facebook marketplace.

Advertising the tiny space, the landlord described it as a ‘private one room garden home’ with an en-suite, WiFi and ‘including all bills.’  

Images from inside the tiny property  have shocked house hunters – with the exterior showing it resembles a garden shed. 

It appears to be made up of one narrow room, which only has space for a large grey sofa and two TV screens on the opposite wall.

The home also lacks a door between the living space and ‘en-suite’ bathroom, with a chemical toilet situated directly above the top of the makeshift bed.

The bathroom also features a sink, mirror and shower.

According to the seller’s description, the property is: ‘Newly modern built and private. It has onsite CCTV and private parking right outside the property.

‘One room with an en-suite shower, sink and toilet with hot/cold water.

‘Comes with a new grey velvet double sofa bed.
