Coleen Rooney admits she found homeschooling her sons ‘tough’ during lockdown as she congratulations parents for their hard work before schools reopen
Coleen Rooney has revealed she found homeschooling her sons ‘tough’ during lockdown as she prepares to send them back to school on Monday.
The media personality, 34, took to social media on Saturday and congratulated parents for helping their children with schoolwork over the last several weeks.
She wrote: ‘A massive congratulations to all us Mums, Dads, family members, carers, teachers and children for getting through homeschooling the past few months!!

‘I found it tough!! So glad school is back. Have a lovely weekend.’
Coleen and her footballer manager husband Wayne, 35, are parents to Kai, 11, Klay, seven, Kit, five, and Cass, three.
Coleen shared the message on both her Instagram Stories and Twitter and received replies from other parents.
One user wrote: ‘I found it easy, if the kids know what they are doing and with the teachers coming online, there wasn’t much for us to do.’

Coleen replied: ‘My 11-year-old was fine getting on with it but my 7 and 5 year old needed my help.’
Another said: ‘Don’t think my poor wife could take any more home schooling,’ to which Coleen agreed, replying: ‘It was hard work’.
Schools are set to reopen on March 8 in the government’s first step to easing lockdown restrictions.
It comes after Coleen recently enjoyed some much-needed family time as she headed out for a hike in the countryside with husband Wayne and son Kit.

The mother-of-four beamed in the sweet snap shared by her footballer husband as they walked in the chilly sunshine.
The family were joined by their pet Pomeranian as they enjoyed some exercise during the Covid lockdown.
In January, Wayne officially announced his retirement from professional football following a 19-year career after he was named as permanent manager for Derby County.
Coleen and Wayne also recently celebrated their youngest son Cass’ third birthday with a fireman-themed party.

The proud mum shared images of Cass and his brothers enjoying the celebration, with the star captioning her snaps: ‘Our beautiful baby boy is 3 today!’
In one image, Coleen proudly clutched her little one as they grinned for the picture beneath a colourful balloon arch in hues of blue, yellow and red.
The birthday boy took centre-stage as he posed for an adorable solo photo, with the excited youngster throwing his hands in the air.
And his parents certainly pulled out all the stops as in addition to the balloon arch, Cass stood alongside a giant balloon ‘3’ and a sign that read ‘Fireman Cass’.
