Some of the world’s biggest screen stars have offered viewers a very rare glimpse inside their homes while virtually tuning in to the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.
Presenters Tina Fey and Amy Poehler took to the stage separately in New York and Beverly Hills respectively, while the nominees appeared via video link from their very luxurious dwellings.
And while a select few lucky stars accepted their Golden Globe wins with impassioned speeches, many who tuned in were more distracted by the interior of Hollywood’s most rich and famous.
Among those who captured the most attention with their Zoom set ups was Jared Leto’s cool and contemporary furnishings, and Kate Hudson‘s Boho-chic LA home.
‘Golden Globes bringing red carpet fashion AND home decor insights?! got to love it,’ enthused one viewer, while a second joked: ‘Not going to lie. The best part about these at-home award shows is you get to look inside these people’s homes and judge their interior decor.’

Jared Leto, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for The Little Things, may not have been a winner on the night – but his white and black zig zag patterned sofa certainly took the spotlight.
Meanwhile, the minimalist white bookshelf that could be seen in the background drew comparisons to one previously spotted in a video call behind Barack Obama – leading some viewers to question: ‘Did everyone get the same decor background for these virtual interviews?!’
Kate Hudson, 41, who was nominated for best actress in a motion picture musical or comedy for her performance in Music, appeared during the broadcast from her Los Angeles home, surrounded by her family members – including her mother Goldie Hawn.
But a solo appearance offered a sneak peak the very Boho-chic style chaise lounge they all perched on, which was intricately embroidered with several elements of nature – including branches, flowers and birds.

Josh O’Connor, winner of Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series ‘Drama for ‘The Crown’ also joined the ceremony from a simplistic, neutral-coloured room.
It featured white walls, pleated mink curtains, and a pink glass lamp with beige shade which stood on a black glossy table.
And several celebrities decided to set up their Zoom cameras with book shelves as a backdrop – including Peter Morgan, who accepted the Best Drama Series award for ‘The Crown,’ and Daniel Kaluuya, winner of Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for ‘Judas and the Black Messiah.’
William Horberg also showed off his impressive book collection as he accepted the Best Television Motion Picture award for ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ via video.
