An Instagram account is naming and shaming ‘Covidiots’ who have been flaunting lockdown rules during the pandemic.
The @gaysovercovid account sifts through the gay community’s Instagram posts to find and share people throwing maskless parties and huge gatherings while coronavirus cases continue to spiral.
Posts include a huge Chirstmas party in Miami where at least 30 revelers were gathered inside, bunching together for a photo, without a mask in sight.
Another was a clip taken from TikTok and titled ‘Gays at their NYE circuit parties’ showing what appeared to be a busy club or party filled with dancing men, without masks.
The group behind the Instagram account wrote in the caption: ‘The most relatable @tiktok we’ve seen. January is going to be such a bad month for case numbers, hospitalizations, and coronavirus related deaths.
‘For those of you who stayed home, thank you. For those of you who traveled, please quarantine and get tested. It’s never too late to have empathy for others.’

Health officials warned Americans to stay home for the holiday season, but millions took the skies to visit family across the country.
Large gatherings, which have been dubbed ‘super-spreaders,’ have occurred across multiple states, including Florida and California, where cases of the virus continue to spike.
Thousands were seen in Florida over the New Year’s Eve weekend partying at beach bars and on beaches. Many were not wearing masks.
‘Super-COVID’ is spreading across the US. It was first reported in Colorado last week. It was then confirmed in California, which now has six cases, and Florida before being found in New York (all depicted)
The variant being discovered in the US has caused concern as America is already reporting more than 20.8 million cases. At least 353,628 Americans have died from the disease
Just weeks ago, California became the first state to surpass 2 million cases, and it is one of four states where the highly-contagious UK strain of COVID has been found.
Colorado was the first to report a case of the ‘mutant strain’ followed by California, Florida and on Monday, New York.
The ‘super-COVID’ strain has plunged the UK back into another lockdown with 1 in 50 people contracting the virus.
More than one million people in the UK currently have the virus with cases soaring 70 per cent in just one week.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the new variant left the government with no choice but to impose another national lockdown.
