Police officers in Grapevine, Texas, are still searching for a man who made threatening comments to hotel guests and claimed he had a firearm on Christmas night.
A guest at Great Wolf Lodge raised the alarm and cops began to swarm the building at around 9.45pm CT, placing some rooms into lockdown and urging guests to lock themselves in.
The man had still not been found as of 2am Saturday morning but police were continuing to search until the property had been cleared.
The hotel told WFAA that the individual ‘made concerning statements threatening the safety of our guests’.

Guests were sent a text advising them to stay in their room or to evacuate if they were not in their rooms already, according to CBS.
‘Our officers are responding to an active threat call at Great Wolf Lodge,’ the police department said in a tweet.
‘There are no injuries reported, but we are still on scene and searching the area.
‘Some rooms are on lockdown as a precaution,’ they added.
‘We have additional units arriving on scene and continue to check the welfare of everyone inside.’

In a text allegedly sent to guests, the hotel states that they had ‘become aware of an emergency situation by a guest that there is a possible active shooter in the building’.
‘If you are in your room please do not leave your room for any reason,’ it added.
‘If you are out of your room please evacuate to safety.’
