George Michael’s ex-boyfriend Fadi Fawaz is understood to have been spoken to by police after breaking into the star’s £5million London home just days before the fourth anniversary of the singer’s death.
Mr Fawaz, 47, found the Wham! star dead at his Oxfordshire home on Christmas morning 2016.
The Australian-born celebrity hairdresser was said to be squatting at Michael’s home in Regent’s Park, London until last year, when he was kicked out.
But Met Police officers were forced to remove him from the property this week, after he returned and allegedly smashed a window.
One witness heard Fawaz scream at officers: ‘This is my place. George wanted me to have it,’ according to The Sun.
Fadi Fawaz, 47, was dragged out of his ex-partner George Michael’s home in Regent’s Park earlier this week, just days before the anniversary of the Wham! singer’s death
It’s understood the former photographer managed to climb a security fence before getting inside the property.
The witness said police tried to reason with Mr Fawaz, but he would not listen.
They added: ‘In the end, they dragged him out and sent him packing but I wonder how long it will be before he returns.
‘This must be a very difficult and lonely time of the year for Fadi, with the anniversary of George’s death.’

Met Police told MailOnline tonight: ‘Officers attended and found a man aged in his 40s inside the property.
‘He was asked to leave the scene and complied. He was not arrested.
‘A window that had allegedly been smashed was later boarded up.’
The multi-million pound house in Central London has been left empty since Mr Fawaz was removed last year.
Since the Last Christmas’ singer’s death in 2016, Fawaz’s life has taken a turn for the worse.
He is understood to be sleeping rough and in budget hotels in East London, following an arrest earlier this year after cars were allegedly smashed with a hammer in Bethnal Green.
He was removed from the house in Regent’s Park last year after allegedly trashing the house, including windows, furniture, fixtures and fittings inside.

In a 2019 Facebook post he told friends he had become homeless, The Sun reported.
He said: ‘George Michael the ikon (sic) 3 years later and his lawyers still not done anything to sort me out so in last few days I have been sleeping in the street in Covent Garden instead of being in my home.
A coroners report in March 2017 said George died of natural causes had dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.
Since his death, it has emerged the Faith singer did not leave anything for his former partner in his £96million will.
