Noel Gallagher has revealed that he took cocaine every night for three years and it caused ‘brutal panic attacks’ which led him to quit the drug.
The Oasis and High Flying Birds songwriter, 52, opened up about his struggles with the Class A substance and how he ended up in hospital in America after taking it.
He told Matt Morgan’s Funny How? podcast: ‘I did have to check into hospital once. Imagine having the psychosis and having to have to go to hospital.

‘They don’t understand a word you’re saying because of your accent and you’re like ”I think I am on my way out”.’
He added: ‘I had a few brutal panic attacks, which is why I quit.’
The rockstar has previously told The Independent that he completely lost control of himself by 1997 and admitted that he and his brother Noel were ingesting a lot of drugs.

It was in 1997 when Noel realised his drug-taking was out of control and he suffered from crippling panic attacks.
He says that the turning point came on June 5, 1998, when he woke up to watch Germany play Greece in the World Cup.
Surrounded by people smoking marijuana and snorting cocaine, Noel decided to sit down with a Pot Noodle instead.
He stuck to his resolution to stay clean so sold his house, which ended up being sold to David Walliams in 2005, and went to Thailand for a month with his then-wife, Meg Matthews.

After they arrived back in the UK, they moved to the countryside and disconnected their home phone so that Noel could stay off the drugs.
And last year Noel told The Metro that he now finds people taking cocaine ‘boring’.
He said: ‘You just know that when the coke comes out the night is going to take a s*** turn.
‘It’s always like fun and games and once someone gets the coke out then all of a sudden it’s, ”Well, it’s time for me to go anyway, because this is now boring”.’
